Land of the free

This is a must read email from a friend of mine in New York City. Scary shit.

"And yesterday at 6:00 a.m. my whole building was awakened by agents
from the 'Homeland Security' dept.

They were looking for someone specific, but they pounded on every door,
shouting at people to show proof that we are U.S. citizens, threatening
to arrest one neighbor cause he couldn't find his green card fast
enough...all very disturbing...

home of the free and the brave...feels more like nazi germany
everyday.

we're fucked.

I called the local
police to see if it was legitimate. And they sent a patrol car over, but
basically...Homeland Security rules."
