Harbourfront Latin Festival!

Saturday, July 17th, 5:30 pm
The Loft, Harbourfront Centre (Ritmo y Color Festival)

A play reading by Marilo Nunez, Carlos Diaz and Maria Syrgiannis

In July of 1853, in the grip of the Gold Rush Fever, a vigilante posse ambush and murder the Chilean outlaw, Joaquin Murieta, the man who had been known as the Robin Hood of the Gold Rush. Murieta’s closest companion, Three Fingered Jack, is witness to the execution. The play follows the story of Three Fingered Jack on his quest to avenge the crime and retrieve the head of his companion. Through a series of monologues and stylized scenes we learn of a man done wrong, a wife who was ravaged and a husband killed all in the name of greed.
